Who Killed JR? is back with a brand new remix. This time he is taking on legen-waitforit-dary, French duo, Daft Punk and their classic Robot Rock. But I am getting ahead of myself.  Usually when posting a track by a new artist, the post is accompanied by a shiny & new artist page. We kind of skipped that in this case and so I am glad that we can finally, officially call Who Killed JR? a part of the electrotrash family. The Robot Rock remix is itself quite epic. Although the original was a great track, that sampled guitar riff from Release the Beast by Breakwater does become a bit monotonous. The remix overcomes this by chopping the guitars up and layering filtered guitar arps over everything. The execution is perfect and you would be forgiven for thinking that this some unreleased Daft Punk edit. The track continually builds that by the time the final break hits all layers are of such epic proportions that the track simply feels massive! With the amount of Daft Punk remixes floating around, it easy to get lost in the sounds, but this one is bound to stick out amongst the rest as one of the greats.
